Please allow me to introduce to you Yan Teplitsky.
Some of you know Yan and some of you have heard of him.
Yan has been the coach to the WYCC Canadian Youth Team in several previous WYCC tournaments. He has proven himself to be very valuable to the youth in helping to analyze games played and for preparing for upcoming games.
Yan is also an accomplished International Master and has been a valued member of several previous Canadian Teams at the Chess Olympiads.
I am pleased to have Yan on board for these reasons alone, but he is bringing more to the table than that! Yan is going to be looking into finding flights for the team at discounted rates.
And to top even this, Yan is offering to run a 2-3 day chess preparation camp for the whole team just prior to leaving for Turkey. This would take the form of everyone coming to Toronto a couple of days early and participating in this camp and then all leaving together to go to the WYCC!
